For the first time, the Miss South Dakota’s Outstanding Teen Pageant is coming to Rapid City. Seventeen young women from all over South Dakota will compete for the sash, crown, and title of Miss South Dakota’s Outstanding Teen 2016 during an entertaining production, “Musical Theater Through the Ages.”
The contestants will be judged in Private Interview (25%) and Scholastic Achievement (10%) before the pageant. During the pageant, they will compete in Talent (35%), Lifestyle and Fitness in Sportswear (10%), and Evening Wear/On-Stage Question (20%).
Every contestant will be awarded a scholarship, for a total of over $5000. Scholarships are held until the contestant goes to college, at which point the funds are sent directly to the school of her choice.
The winner of the pageant will go on to represent South Dakota at the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando, FL.
There will be a silent auction and used dress sale in the PACRC lobby during the pageant on June 4th.
