Dave Chappelle, the man who redefined comedy with his hit series “Chappelle’s Show,” is coming to the Performing Arts Center of Rapid City on June 19, 2015!  This hilarious evening of stand-up comedy and hip-hop is proudly presented by Live Nation.

Dave Chappelle became known as a comedic genius during the run of his sketch-comedy program, the aptly titled “Chappelle’s Show”.  The stand-up comedian was previously famous for his live performances and his roles in the hit films “The Nutty Professor”, “Con Air”, and the cult-classic “Half Baked”.

“Chappelle’s Show” debuted in the Fall of 2003 and was an immediate hit. The show parodied American politics, race relations, pop-culture, and also featured performances by some of hip-hop’s hottest acts like Anthony Hamilton and Q-Tip.

In 2006, Chappelle filmed “Block Party” which is a documentary about a concert he hosted in Brooklyn’s Bed-Sty neighborhood. The concert-doc featured performances by Mos Def, Jill Scott, and Kanye West. In support of the film, Dave Chappelle took his comedy tour on the road to generate buzz for the documentary.
