The South Dakota School of Mines & Technology’s Hard Rockin’ Drama Club presents the play Dead Henry, by Sioux Falls Playwright, Mr. Lance DeRoos in the new Studio Theater of the Performing Arts Center of Rapid City (South Street entrance) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (Mar 4, 5, and 6). Enter the world of playwright, Henry O’Connor, who is plagued by persistent writer’s block while working on his murder mystery play. His slightly ditzy girlfriend persistently interrupts him, making his agent’s deadline impossible to meet. As the play takes shape, something mysterious happens when Henry’s characters start interacting with him. And when things don’t go as Henry plans, bedlam ensues and the action becomes reality, mixed with another dimension of reality, mixed with absurdity. All performances start at 7:00 PM; students with an SDSM&T ID are free – all others are $5 at the door, with all proceeds to benefit Rapid City’s Storybook Island.
